Andrew Radomski - Registered Home Inspector (R.H.I.)
Andrew joined the Pillar To Post team during the first year of
operation, and is a seasoned professional who knows the importance of providing
an objective opinion. Andrew has more than fourteen years experience in the
property inspection field.
Andrew has all of the certificates, training and experience
required of a Registered Home Inspector (R.H.I.) with the Ontario Association
of Home Inspectors (OAHI), and is also certified to inspect commercial and
investment properties. In addition, Andrew holds an Ontario College Home
Inspection Certificate for completing the 13-course program at George Brown
College.
Andrew is an associate member of the Ontario Association of
Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT), and sits on the
following OAHI Committees: Discipline and Professional Practices Committee,
Board of Examiners/Admissions Review Committee, and was for many years a member
of the Education Programs Committee. He was formally a member of the Humber
College Home Inspection Certificate Course (Architectural Technology Program)
Advisory Committee.
Some of Andrew’s academic accomplishments include:
successful completion of Ontario College Courses in Building Code 7 &
9, Building Structures, Plumbing, Health & Safety, Electrical and Heating
Systems. He has also completed the Carson, Dunlop, Weldon Commercial Inspection
Course and the Pillar To Post Commercial Inspection Course. In addition, he has
attended the Reserve Fund Planning Course, the introductory CMHC Indoor Air
Quality Course, the Bacharach Institute Carbon Monoxide & Combustion Safety
training program.
In addition, all Registered Home Inspectors in Ontario must complete the Defect Recognition
& Reporting Course, and have their inspection reports verified, meeting the
high standards of the OAHI and Pillar To Post. Finally, before the R.H.I.
designation is granted, a technical background in construction, building
science or equivalent is required.
Andrew comes from an engineering and scientific support
background, and was involved in construction and renovations. In his earlier
years, he was a technical writer/editor and media/public relations specialist.
Over the last fourteen years Andrew has given numerous
presentations and seminars on home related topics and was recently approved as
a facilitator by RECO (The Real Estate Council of Ontario).
Purchasers will feel confident with a professional property
inspector, who has all the educational qualifications, knowledge and experience
required to inspect their new home. They will be assured of an inspector with
excellent communication skills, and the peace of mind of knowing that he will
be personable and provide an honest and objective opinion of the property.
